so, if you're ever in venice; the only advice i can give is don't try to rush through it in a day. you could easily spend a week in venice alone, with the dizzying alleyways and beautiful architecture. while we had time to enjoy the quintessential gondola ride, we opted out and instead enjoyed watching others get shilled for 100 euros for a 15 minute float down the canal. and i thought paying 20 bucks at the venetian in las vegas was expensive. for the price in venice, i can at least fly back to las vegas and get a feel for the simulated version. :)
