van and i took the over-night cruise through the halong bay unesco world heritage site. it was a pretty incredible experience as the views were quite picturesque (although I didn't get many photos worth keeping). we did get a little rain and the weather was overcast the entire trip; but it was a nice change of scenery without the hustle-bustle of the city; and the lack of wi-fi forced us to enjoy ourselves. :)
