didn't get much sleep last night; seeming as today is independence day and practically everyone has the day off, it seemed that a good portion of those numbers decided to hold a rave party just outside my quaint little B&B. i don't mind the music, or the need to celebrate; I was just hoping they would have wrapped up sooner than 5am. and there's something rhythmic about house music that won't let you sleep once it's in ear-shot with the repetitive base blasting out. i'm glad the office was closed, as i likely wasn't going to be in much shape to make it in anyway.
i did end up taking a stroll to the western wall; as last time when the wall comes into view you just think "wow, another wall". but when you approach and really allow yourself to be involved; there is certainly something special about this place. i'd easily put it in the top few things i've ever experienced in my life.
all those white specs in the rock? tiny prayers embedded into the cracks of the wall. to see it is truly humbling.
