the light...
is on your right, just past women's lingerie and halter-tops. photo's from jerusalem on independence day on my walk-about through the old city.
on a more serious note: long day today in chennai, but not one of those long-draining days that leave you exhausted; but rather, one of those days that leave you excited about making connections with real people and hoping that you're making a positive difference in people's lives. my agenda for coming to chennai was actually quite simple: let the team know that they're doing an EXCELLENT job; i suppose that's a much easier message to share than when things aren't going right. to come back and see the level of confidence in their eyes makes me feel like a proud parent. and as any parent can attest, the growth isn't any direct impact on our part, but still you take pride in seeing their actualization of their own independence and potential that they've realized.
i can't take any credit for their growth; i knew they had the ability; it was just a matter of time for them to realize their own potential; all i'm doing is just reminding them of their accomplishments (but it does feel really good to give people genuine praise and know that they understand how much of a difference they are making :)
highlight of the day: getting to see all of my friends and colleagues in chennai after a year
