I find one of the most difficult things is to force myself to put zen back into his crib after he's spent a good five minutes burrowing his face into your chest to find the most comfortable sleeping position. I suppose mom's got a point that in two years time we really don't want him plopping down in the middle of the bed with us; but she doesn't know that I sneak him out of the crib at 4am while she's still sleeping. :)
