i'm not aware of any secret recipe behind the original arrowroot cookie; at least not to my distinguished palette. but lo and behold, try to farm off some knock-offs to the boy and things go down in a landslide. i tried the cookie afterwards... the boy makes a good point; they're terrible. so we're instigating a new rule: mom tries everything before he eats it. i would have volunteered for the position, but i have other commitments. :)

OMG! You're a dad! Congratulations on the baby and the contest win!! I was trying to look at your photos to see if you had been to Alaska. My parents went this summer and I wanted to get them a nice, non-dentist office-like print for Christmas. Your photos are gorgeous!
